The Men's “O Association” was created over one hundred years ago and the Women's “Varsity O” was created in 1926. They were both strong organizations built upon Ohio Athletic pride and loyalty. The association was reinstated in 2012 as Varsity OHIO. Then relaunched and rebrand with its membership structure in 2019. Varsity OHIO is a prestigious organization exclusive to Ohio University former student-athletes, athletic trainers, spirit squad and managers. Our goal is to increase membership, awareness and establish life-long bonds between former teammates, friends and Ohio University.
The mission of Varsity OHIO is to develop and enrich the relationships between athletics alumni and our athletics programs. It is our goal to promote and strengthen Ohio University Athletics and current student-athletes with the help and encouragement of our alumni. We will work to carry on the Ohio University tradition in pursuit of excellence, competition and success within all our sports.
